Following 9 years of successful virtual runs, this year the AAP Foundation is hosting PerioDash 2024, a virtual run to raise awareness around the Foundation and how we help strengthen the specialty. Runners will sign up and complete a 5K run/walk at their own pace, on their own time. Runners will each receive a PerioDash 2024 T-shirt and medal. Younger constituents love this popular event, many form their own teams. In 2023, nearly 500 people ran or walked in PerioDash. Runners participate as individuals, as part of practice teams, school teams, and more. They come up with fun, creative team names, such as "The Vertical Defects," "Floss Posse," and "Gingiva Ninjas." This is a fun, well-loved event that will afford your company vital positive representation

Annual Meeting Corporate Gift-Match Benefits:
Eleven years ago, the AAP Foundation introducted the first Future Horizons in Periodontology session to showcase the research that Foundation awards help to support. From a humble beginning, this cutting-edge session has grown in reputation and popularity, requiring increasingly larger spaces. This engaging session now attracts roughly 300 attendees and effectively demonstrates the return on donors' investment in the Foundation's work. This year's session will focus on Advances in Personalized Periodontal Medicine, with Dr. Flora Momen-Heravi addressing Immunotherapy applications in periodontal medicine and Dr. Ahmed El-Awady discussing Pharmacogenomics to Precision Prescriptions in Periodontal Patients. Since this is a CE session, all sponsorship materials must remain outside of the session room, but your company will be recognized in all promotional materials, on periofoundation.org, on our social media outlets, in PerioSpectives, at the Foundation booth, and in the Foundation Annual Report.
The AAP Foundation Online Silent Auction has become the centerpiece of the AAP Foundation booth. Each year, periodontists, spouses, and other staff browse the more than 100 items donated by exhibitors, board members, committee members, and partner companies. The Auction raises around $40,000 for the AAP Foundation, and is an eye-catching display. Full-color photos and descriptions of each item will be on display at our booth, but bidders will participate via their smartphones. They will be able to bid any time, anywhere, and will receive notifications when they’ve been outbid.
Recognition:
Donations of Silent Auction items are also gratefully accepted. Please complete this form to donate items.
